Forty year-old Michael Tan Defensor has achieved what can rarely be accomplished in one lifetime. His political career, which brought him to national prominence, has started at age 22 when he was elected as the youngest councilor in QC. At age 25, youthful, intelligent and hardworking Mike got elected as the youngest congressman for the 10th Congress in 1995 and got re-elected for the 11th Congress in 1998. At age 31, he was appointed as the country’s housing czar and became the youngest cabinet member.
